My work traces the circulation of Hindi films through the Arab world from the 1950s to the present, documenting the merchants, distributors, and exhibitors who built South-South circuits long before the era of streaming. I explore the geopolitics of film circulation, the economics of cultural industries in the Global South, and what happens when these histories meet algorithmic systems.

AI & Innovation
As a Product Manager in the broadcast and media industry, I have spent several years building recommendation systems and AI products at the intersection of cultural metadata, editorial logic, and algorithms.
My research and my product work converge on the same question: how do cultural objects circulate — and how networks and technology shape what becomes visible?
